Jackson McKenna, Founder & Owner of "Two If By Sea" Coin Co.
Thank you for being here and taking an interest in "Two If By Sea" Coin Co. This shop represents a lifelong passion for coins, history, and the role tangible assets can play in preserving wealth across generations.
My interest in numismatics began early as a eight year old boy, spending time with my dad searching for the next coin to add to my Dansco 7070 U.S. Type Set. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a deeper appreciation for the history, craftsmanship, and meaning behind every coin.
That foundation stayed with me as I later earned my finance degree. The more I studied markets, investing, and long-term financial planning, the more I began to understand the importance of diversification—and how physical assets like precious metals can fit into a broader financial picture, especially when held with intention rather than speculation.
Alongside my education, I spent several years working in a local coin shop, both during and after my undergraduate studies. That experience gave me hands-on exposure to buying, selling, and appraising coins and precious metals, and reinforced the importance of transparency, accuracy, and trust in this industry.
Over time, that combination of experience and education shaped how I view this field. I don’t see coins or bullion as a single answer or a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather as tools that can serve different purposes depending on a person’s goals. My focus is on being transparent, helping people understand what they’re buying, why it may or may not fit their strategy, and avoiding the kind of pressure that often comes in this industry.
I created "Two If By Sea" Coin Co. to fulfill these lofty aspirations. It’s my way of serving collectors and investors both here in southern Utah and online across the country. Whether it’s a rare coin with an amazing history accomping it or a bullion transaction as part of a broader portfolio approach, the goals remain the same: honesty, education, and long-term value.

Almost 20 years ago, I introduced Jackson to coin collecting.
On that day, I pulled my oversized, cardboard fruit box off a top shelf in my closet and let my young son hold Wheat Pennies, Buffalo Nickels and Mercury Dimes. I explained that my “collection” consisted mostly of coins my grandmothers gave me. I also showed him my “prized” three cent piece and low grade Carson City dime that I’d purchased with paper route money when I was twelve.
I watched his little-boy-eyes light up, as his tiny fingers held and admired Franklin halfs, Morgan dollars and Bicentennial quarters that I saved from my days delivering newspapers in Las Vegas.
Now, Jackson is a man with his own family. His boyhood interest has grown into a powerful passion. I am amazed at his knowledge and his quest for excellence in all aspects of his coin business.
I am proud to be Jackson’s business partner and overjoyed to combine my interest in coins with my love for American history. At “Two if by Sea,” we believe these two passions synergize together, because coins are history. They are history you can hold, history you can share, and history you can cherish.
